Would you like to be notified when email comes in? How about just from a specific address? Would you like to be notified
right on your existing cell phone as soon as it comes in? Well now you can. The email alert list function will allow you
to be notified when any email comes in to a specific address and allows you to have a copy sent to your cell phone number.
If you do not want to be bothered by all of your email, but are waiting for a specific email from one address then you
can specify that one specific address and be notified whenever anything from that address comes in.
Its actually very simple. All you do is log in to the webconfigurator and go to the Configuration Files. Click on
Configure Email Alerts.
Inside the command box, put the address you are expecting the message from separated by a ~ then your users email address
where you are expecting the message separated by a ~ then the cell phone text address. Now click, "save config" and
then stop the filter so that it restarts
and picks up the alert change.
The cell phone text address is simply the cell
phone 10 digit number followed by the @ symbol, followed by the gateway address of your carrier. You should be able to get the
gateway address from your current service provider, or a list of many of the more common carriers can be found here at the
cell_phone_gateways page.
